My Grades Are Improving
Peak performance expert, Dr. John Oda has been a great influence in changing my life and organizational skills. His time
management system that he introduced to me was easy to insert my daily schedule because of the easy step by step method. Declaring
my desire/goal was my first step into the organized action plan. Before I used the Oda time management system my GPA was in
the low 2.0s after one term of executing my written goals under the system, my actions lead a 3.4 GPA. To this day I still
use the Oda plan and would recommend anyone who wants to accomplish goals in a timely manner to use this tool.
Sincerely,
Robert (Case #5 Connecting With Your Teen)

My family Is Bonded Together
I met Dr John Oda through our pastor. He handed me a copy of Connecting with your Teen. I ate it up. It was the beginning
of a transformation for my son and our family. My son was very intelligent and was given the opportunity to excel in a college
prep high school-private high school and public high school-He rejected them all-and was asked to leave. He chose drugs instead.
It has been a nightmare, yet Dr John Oda has coached us through all the different chapters. His knowledge of the teen mind
set is very accurate. His insights should be taught worldwide. Parents, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, friends need help in
dealing with this unspoken and ignored arena of the development of a human being. Dr Oda knows and teaches a teenager how
to make a 180 degree turn around.
PSS... Dear Dr John Oda,
THANK YOU for what you have given us our son, our family back, our lives back.
Yours truly,

This Program Really Works..
"In spite of our burned out skepticism, we notice subtle changes in his attitude immediately. By the second week, it was if
his metabolism had sped up. He was actually doing his homework unprompted and pitching in on his homework chores. We are witnessing
what appears to be nothing more than a transformation. Dr. Oda you are a true miracle worker."

Great Role Model
"My daughter feels that her participation in this program has allowed her to learn more about herself and how to achieve her
goals more effectively. I have to admit that her beliefs are more definitely on target. Your class has helped my daughter
pursue her goals in a more effective way. I feel that she always knew what she wanted, but teenagers tend to listen to other
people better than parents. I am glad that the person was YOU, because you are a highly motivated individual with a lot of
teenager outlook in your persona. Please provide me with information about your session to come, because we would like to
participate again."

I Am Living My Dream
In life there are pivotal moments which present a fork in the road which has the opportunity to shape ones life: a moment
that if taken, has the potential to blossom into a magnificent story. In my life, there has been a few of these, but the one
moment that I always reference to as having the most significance is when John Oda entered into my life.
In the school year of 1996-1997, I was in junior high school and one evening at basketball practice John Oda entered the
basketball gymnasium: more importantly he entered my life. John joined the team, as an invitation from our junior high school
basketball coach, as an assistant coach. How little did I know that this invitation would have such a crucial impact in my
life!
Growing up, I lived through a lot of tough experiences that no child should live through. By the time I reached my early
teenage years, my self-confidence was extremely low (off the basketball court) and I believed I would most likely graduate
high school and live in my home town the rest of my life.
I not only graduated from high school and college, but I also have graduated with a Masters in Human Resources and Industrial
Relations from one of the premier schools in the world (University of Illinois) as well as passing the test to become a Professional
in Human Resources. I often find myself pinching my arm in disbelief and experience moments of emotional joy thinking of where
I am today and where I grew up.
Today, I sit in Edmonton, Canada as a Human Resources Manager, at the young age of 25, for a Fortune 200 company supporting
over 350 paraprofessionals and non-exempt employees. I am living a dream that I never could have dreamt up when I was 13 years
old. John Oda is easily the number one reason why I am here today, living a dream!
John, from the first moment meeting him, instilled a way of believing in my self and living my life that I would not have
had without Johns guidance. Throughout the years, John and I have grown our relationship from a basketball coach, to a mentor,
to a father-son like relationship and close friends. John has been in my life for the better part of 13 years! During this
time, I have always leaned on John in the toughest moments because I always know that he will provide me with coaching and
a perspective that no one I know can.
I guarantee that John Oda will be added value to your family, but also to those that he interacts with and comes to know.
Warmest Regards,
James PHR, Houston TX

Dear John,
The purpose of this letter is to inform you about the outcome of your program- The Seven Techniques of Highly Self- Motivated
Teens.
My daughter feels that her participation in this program has allowed her to learn more about herself and how to achieve her
goals more effectively. I have to admit that her beliefs are more definitely on target. Your class has helped my daughter
pursue her goals in a more effective way. I feel that she always knew what she wanted, but teenagers tend to listen to other
people better than parents. I am glad that the person was YOU, because you are a highly motivated individual with a lot of
teenage outlook in your persona.
Please provide me with information about your session to come, because we would like to participate again.

Dear John,
They say that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again yet expecting different results. We not
only did the same thing over and over again with our 12-year-old misfit-we did everything over and over again. Positive reinforcement,
negative reinforcement, immediate consequences, years of psychoanalysis, you name it.
No sale. He returned immediately to his apparent hard-wire set point of shirking responsibility, blaming everyone else for
his failures, glowering negativity, lying etc.. We were out of options exhausted from propping him up against the inevitable
failure that seemed destined for him.
A chance meeting with you led to our enrolling our son in your seven- week workshop The Seven Techniques of Highly Self-Motivated
Teens, and (later) Bonding the Family Together" In spite of our burned out skepticism, we noticed subtle changes in his attitude
immediately. By the second week it was as if metabolism had sped up. He was actually doing his homework unprompted and pitching
in on household chores. We are actually enjoying his company. Yesterday, he gently chided me for my chronic "negativism" while
driving. He was right.
We are witnessing what appears to be nothing less than a transformation. John, you are a miracle worker.
Sincerely,
Tom, Portland Stepfather
Dear John,
I just want to let you know how amazed I am at the many subtle, sudden changes that have come over my son Griffin in only
three weeks of your class. My child has always been a bright but unmotivated person, good hearted but with a selfish streak,
loving but socially misfit and often angry. I see in him so much potential and yet, I have been worried for several years
now that my nearly 12-year-old boy would grow up to be an unhappy underachiever who would blame the world for his failures.
Until he enrolled in your class.
Perhaps it was a happy coincidence of timing- as in the past three weeks, he has grown an inch in height and his voice had
dropped an octave-so clearly he's maturing precipitously. Nevertheless, he has changed so much in the many little ways only
a mother would see that I am convinced it had to be more that just maturity kicking in. Suddenly, there is no underwear on
his bathroom floor. Over night, he began helping his little sister, carrying my groceries, loading the dishwasher, improving
his grooming habits. He has become thoughtful and considerate. An awareness is growing in him of the need to consider the
future and to prepare for it by taking responsibility for his education and his personal conduct. He is controlling his emotions
better. He is arguing with the rules of the house less. He is cheerful, pleasant, and engaged in family conversation. He sets
his alarm and gets up to it. He finally started keeping a daily homework schedule- something that no amount of cajoling, threatening,
or school humiliation could accomplish.
He has become a different person practically over night.
What is most remarkable about this is that he'd had loving, engaged, effective parents who tired everything else. He has been
in various forms of counseling and psychiatric intervention, including a year of medication for lethargy and depression (Zoloft).
None of these efforts have done much, beyond addressing some of his earlier, more disturbing, rage behavior that have since
virtually disappeared. He's been involved since January in martial arts, Audobon summer program, and has profited from a warm
and growing relationship with his stepfather. These have really helped, but aside from their minimal mitigations, we had previously
put all our faith in the psychological support mentioned above--which have been, as I said, unimpressive compared to the immediate
and stark changes we've seen in him since becoming your student. I am now a reformed skeptic -- and a grateful mom!
